Roma ISD Middle School Mariachi Program Students Earn All-Region Honors
Congratulations again to the Roma ISD Mariachi Program on having the most students of any school district earn spots in the Texas Music Educators Association All-Region Middle School Mariachi! The school and district are so proud of these students from Ramiro Barrera Middle School and Roma Middle School, and their instructors!
Earning chairs in the Violin Section include Lyzzette Hinojosa, 3rd Chair; Mia Garza, 4th Chair; Gael Rodriguez, 6th Chair; Dayanara Salinas, 7th Chair; Arnoldo Garza, 8th Chair; Daisy Molina, 11th Chair; Brianey Morales, 12th Chair; Jayleen Miranda, 13th Chair; Jasmin Ortiz, 18th Chair; Renata Lopez, 19th Chair; Isabella Gonzalez, 20th Chair; Valeria Garza, 23rd Chair; and Josue Molina, Alternate.
Three students placed in the Trumpet Section including Esteban Mendez, 1st Chair; Juan Jesus Garza, 2nd Chair; Christian Martinez, 3rd Chair; and Ricardo Ramos, Alternate. In the Harp Section Christian Cano earned 1st Chair and Melany Siller earned 2nd Chair. Rusbel Flores earned 1st Chair and Jasmine Rangel earned 3rd Chair in the Guitar Section. Christian Vega earned 1st Chair and Gilberto Contreras earned 3rd Chair in the Vihuela Section.
