F.J. Scott Elementary School Team Wins Roma ISD’s Elementary Level Battle of the Books Comp.
Congratulations to the F.J. Scott Elementary School Battle of the Books Team for winning the district's Elementary School Division Competition! In order to compete, the students had to read the five award-winning books selected and try out to qualify for their school’s team by demonstrating knowledge of each book. Upon selection to their school’s team, students re-read the books and discussed them to determine important details, themes and interpretations of each book. During the competition, student teams work together to respond to a variety of random questions about each book. All participants should be proud of the hard work they put into preparing for the competition! The F.J. Scott Elementary School Team will go on to represent Roma ISD at the Region One Battle of the Books Competition in February.
