Roma High School Band Honored by the Rio Grande Valley Band Directors Hall of Fame

Congratulations to the Roma High School Band on being honored by the Rio Grande Valley Band Directors Hall of Fame! The Mighty Gladiator Band is being recognized as an RGV Band Program of Distinction at the Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on April 27, 2019. The honor is bestowed on bands that have maintained a high level of excellence and outstanding performance over time.

The Roma ISD Administration treated the students and staff to donuts and juice after the students were surprised with the news. Superintendent Carlos Guzman congratulated the students for their hard work and dedication.

“What can I say, this is the finest band program I know of in the Valley and state,” said Guzman. “I’m extremely proud of the students who always make our district shine. They execute at the highest levels and have shown what it means to be a Mighty Gladiator. I also congratulate the entire Band Program staff because they work tirelessly to ensure our students have the best preparation and opportunities to achieve their personal goals. And I need to thank our parents and community members who always show unwavering support for the students. Congratulations to everyone who made this honor possible for our students!”
