Ms. Taylor Lifka
Welcome to Ms. Lifka's classroom home page!
While we are living through a rather unprecedented time right now, I am excited to embark upon my fourth year as an Advanced English I teacher at Roma High School. In 2017 I graduated from Denison University, a small liberal-arts college in Granville, OH and became a Teach For America corps member in the Rio Grande Valley. After serving my two years in the corps, I realized that while I had spent the last twenty years calling Chicago, IL home, Roma, TX had quickly become the place I loved the most. The beauty of Roma exists in the vibrant border culture and the tight-knit community that supports and honors one another through both the celebrations and the challenges of life.
This year will present many obstacles for both students and teachers alike, but there is nothing we cannot overcome together. I believe in the potential for each one of my students to be successful in my classroom, and I look forward to a wonderful year spent together (either virtually or back in Room 20).
I can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions/comments/or concerns throughout the school year.
Let us continue to take care of ourselves and one another at this time.
