I grew up in La Rosita, Texas.  I attended school at Roma ISD and graduated from Roma High School in 1994.  I continued my education at the University of Texas Pan-American in Edinburg, Texas where I received my BA in Finance.  I obtained my bilingual elementary teaching certificate through the Alternative Certification Program (ACP).  I began teaching 1st grade in 1999-2000 and taught it for 7 years.  I was then moved to teach 3rd grade for 2 years.  Currently, this is my 9th year teaching 4th grade students at R.T. Barrera Elementary.  Overall I have 18 years of teaching experience.  My goal is to achieve student success through lessons that will incorporate fun and memorable activities.
