Library Book Purchase Review

In accordance with Policy EFB (Local), all newly selected library book titles must undergo a public review period prior to being placed on school library shelves. Specifically, Roma ISD requires that any proposed book purchase be posted for at least a 30-day community preview period. Only after this preview window has concluded will the titles be taken to the Board of Trustees for approval. Once the Board has granted approval, the library may then move forward with acquisition and placement of the materials. This process ensures transparency and provides families and community members the opportunity to review and give input on potential library additions before the are formally adopted.

Parents, students, and/or community members are welcome to provide concerns by submitting feedback.
